Hi - My name is Steve and I'm an impractical woodworker. Seems like I am always adding extra details to my projects. Some might think that looks like too much effort. But if I'm having fun in the process it's not too much effort - it's just right.

To be fair, not everything I do is impractical. Sometimes things just need to get done and extra detail and effort is nothing more than a distraction. But this website will focus on the impractical side of what I do.

I'll be adding to this site as time goes on. I'll share project plans and builds. Some projects will be fairly straightforward, but I plan to focus mostly on projects with that "little bit extra" - and that's where the impracticality shows up!
